The Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office has finished the criminal investigation on another segment of the investigation aimed at the concession of the Chisinau International Airport State Enterprise.
According to the prosecutor’s office, the object of the investigation includes the illegal actions of public persons and of public dignity at the Chisinau International Airport concession, which caused the state material damage of 392,105,823 lei.
In the criminal case, eight persons with positions of public dignity were charged of abuse of office, namely: a former Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, a former Minister of Economy, a former director of the Public Property Agency, a former director deputy of the Public Property Agency, a former deputy head of the Directorate within the Public Property Agency, a former acting director of International Airport Chisinau, a former financial director of International Airport Chisinau, head of the economic analysis service of International Airport Chisinau.
To recover the damage caused, the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, together with ARBI CNA, applied seizure on the goods and assets of the accused in the amount of 28,720,729.91 lei. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
