On February 23, Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine Bartosz Cichocki. The topics discussed included deepening cooperation in the energy sector and the importance of Poland’s stand in imposing sanctions against rosatom.
“We have a successful experience of cooperation with Poland in the energy sector, and we have a vision of joint reconstruction and development of a number of energy infrastructure facilities,” said German Galushchenko.
The minister thanked the Polish partners for their assistance to the energy sector of Ukraine, constant support of the country in the international arena and urged the Ambassador to consolidate the efforts of European partners in imposing sanctions against the russian nuclear industry in the near future.
“We urge you, together with other European partners, to give the world a clear signal that the russian nuclear industry must be removed from the markets in the near future. rosatom must pay a high price for all the damage that russia is causing to Ukraine and, in particular, to our employees at Zaporizhzhia NPP,” summarized German Galushchenko.
