On February 6-12, the Customs Service collected over 624.03 million lei (about 31.2 million euros) to the state budget.
According to the Customs Service, private people brought goods with customs value exceeding the non-taxable limit, and payments totaling over 17.9 million lei were collected, which represented 2.9% of the total amount. The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects, etc.
At the same time, 11,623 customs declarations were completed, and the flow of means of transport was 64,446 crossings.
In terms of the fight against fraud, 45 violations of customs legislation were found and fines of over 165 thousand lei were applied.
Since the beginning of this year, the Customs Service has collected about 3.7 billion lei to the state budget, up by 29.5% YoY. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
