Thresholds for low-value public procurement contracts have been increased, following the impact of recent inflation. Parliament voted on February 2 amendments to the Law on public procurement in the second reading.
Thus, the thresholds for public procurement are increased by 50%. As a result, for contracts for the purchase of goods and services the amount increases from 200,000 lei (about 10 thousand euros) to 300,000 lei, for contracts for the purchase of works – from 250,000 lei to 325,000 lei and for public procurement contracts that have as their object social services – from 400,000 lei to 600,000 lei.
