The road traffic on a bridge nearby the Hrusova settlement, central Criuleni district, on January 30 was opened, after the bridge had been capitally repaired.
The bridge is of strategic importance for the network of national roads. It is part of the M1 international highway, which makes connection between the border with Romania and the one with Ukraine.
The road bridge has a length of 94 metres, with four spans of 22 metres each and its width is of almost 12 metres, of which about 10 metres represent the roadway and the sidewalks have one metre each.
Among the works carried out, there are the repair of the superstructure and infrastructure of the bridge, setting of the superstructure’s beams at those four spans, concreting of guard walls, etc.
According to the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry (MIDR), so far, the physical progress of the works is of about 90% and they are to be fully finished till March 31. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
