Projects on road rehabilitation worth more than 12 billion lei will be initiated in 2023. The goal was announced by Deputy Prime Minister, Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Andrei Spinu and was included in the draft National Development Plan for 2023-2025 and the activity plan of the government for 2023. The documents were subjected to public consultations on January 23.
“Last year, we constructed over 300 km of European roads, connected hundreds of families to the network of water and sewerage, renewed cultural centres, improved the conditions in schools and kindergartens, built playgrounds and moved to an independent energy system. All these achievements are not sufficient; people still have many difficulties. Therefore, we have an action plan with more concrete projects,” Andrei Spinu said.
During public consultations, the state secretary in the transports sector, Mircea Pascaluta, said that, in the roads’ transport field, the authorities were set to work out a national programme on the support of road carriers of passengers, due to help renew the motor vehicle fleet.
At the same time, among the goals of the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry for 2023 are the launch of a new contest of projects for the European Village, selection of the first big projects of investments in stations for generation of renewable energy and approval of the Urbanism and Constructions Code.
