Perspectives of boosting the cooperation between Moldova and the Federal Land Hessen have been considered at a meeting between Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita and PM of Hessen Boris Rhein in Germany. The officials referred to the importance of developing the bilateral relations in more sectors, in which the parties’ interests coincide. The two officials stressed that more representatives of the Moldovan Diaspora were settled in the Hessen Land.
During discussions, the Moldovan PM touched upon opportunities of extending the cooperation on the economic dimension, expressing Moldova’s interest in attracting investors from the Hessen Land. In this respect, the parties emphasized the need of creating a joint platform, through which Moldova would be able to present investment opportunities of Moldova to business people from Hessen.
“Moldova is open for investors and the government undertook more measures for creating an attractive investment climate, so that the international business finds in Moldova the conditions necessary for extension. We want to attract new fields of investments, such as the pharmaceutical or electronic products,” Natalia Gavrilita said.
In discussions, the Moldovan Prime Minister appreciated the cooperation between the Police of the Hessen Land and the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) from Moldova. Gavrilita highlighted the German side’s contribution to the strengthening of the Interior Ministry’s (MAI) capacities. In the near future, MAI’s IGP will receive a donation on behalf of the Hessen Land – two vehicles and 100 protective waistcoats.
Boris Rhein congratulated the Moldovan authorities and citizens on the getting of the status of country candidate for accession to EU and appreciated the assistance provided by Moldova’s authorities to Ukrainian refugees.
