Moldova received a direct budgetary support worth $30 million from the United States through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in the last days of 2022.
According to the presidential press service, the funds will be used for overcoming the energy crisis, including for compensating the invoices for the Moldovan citizens and helping economic agents cope with the high prices for energy sources.
The mobilization of these resources will contribute to diminishing the impact of the war waged by Russia in Ukraine and will help the country meet the critical needs. Moldova is grateful to all those who backed the country on this difficult period. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
