On November 28 – December 4, the Customs Service collected over 630.6 million lei (about 31.5 million euros) to the state budget.
According to the Customs Service, during the period private people brought goods with the value in customs exceeding the non-taxable limit, and payments amounting to over 18.5 million lei were collected, which represented 2.9% of the total amount.
Also, 10,049 customs declarations were completed, and the flow of means of transport was 67,818 crossings.
In the fight against fraud, during this period, 30 violations of customs legislation were found and fines in the amount of over 85 thousand lei were applied. The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects, etc.
Since the beginning of the year, the Customs Service has collected about 30.7 billion lei to the state budget, up by 18.7% YoY. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
