The budget of the EU4Moldova project, meant for strengthening the capacity to respond to the COVID-19 emergency situation in the public health sector and the institutional capacity for the implementation of the Association Agreement, will be increased by 138,328 euros. The Cabinet, at a meeting on November 2, approved the draft on starting negotiations and on the amendment of the agreement on financing between Moldova’s government and the European Commission on the carrying out of this project.
The financial contributions are provided to Moldova as grant by the World Health Organization, the Project’s Central Management Agency, Lithuania’s Development Agency and Expertise France.
The agreement on financing between the Moldovan government and the European Commission was signed on October 20, 2020, representing, at that time, non-refundable assistance worth 9 million euros. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
