Georgia exported locally produced goods worth $4.09 billion between January-September, up by 37.4% YoY, preliminary data from the national statistics office of Georgia showed.
Geostat said local exports in the country had accounted for 68.7% of total exports, amounting to $2.81 billion, up by 29.9%.
Georgia’s top trading partners were: China – $541.9 million, Russia – $400.4 million and Turkiye – $325.4 million.
The five largest domestic export goods of Georgia were as follows: copper ores and concentrates – $753.2 million (26.8% of total exports), ferroalloys – $425.1 million (15.1%), nitrogenous fertilisers – $207.4 million (7.4%), wine from fresh grapes – $172 million (6.1%) and electrical energy – $84 million (3%).
Georgian external trade turnover equaled $13.61 billion, up by 35.3%.
The value of exports rose by 37.4%, to $4.09 billion, while imports by 34.4%, to $9.51 billion.
Turkiye ($2 billion), Russia ($1.71 billion) and China ($1.40 billion) were the top trading partners of Georgia in its total external trade turnover in January-September. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
