The national air operators will be banned from making flights to Russia. The Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) on September 12 issued an Operational Directive to this end.
According to an AAC press release, the decision was taken in order to ensure the aviation safety and security, taking into account a decision issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), as well as the decision on the suspension by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency of all certificates and approvals issued to the aviation agencies from Russia.
AAC’s decision was taken after the Air Moldova Company on September 9 informed that it would resume the flights to Moscow starting from October 1.
The flights from Moscow were ceased in February, after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
