People registered as unemployed will benefit from vocational training vouchers. The government has approved a decision on the matter.
Vouchers will be offered by the National Employment Agency (ANOFM) and will be used by unemployed people to enroll in qualification, retraining or continuous training courses. These will represent the counter value of the cost of the vocational training course, which for training service providers will be taxed according to the general rule, and for the unemployed it will be tax-free.
The introduction of vouchers simplifies the selection of professional training service providers, who are currently contracted according to the public procurement procedure. Thus, ANOFM will be able to fully use the resources earmarked for the training of the unemployed and ensure the professional training of a larger number of people.
The unemployed will choose their own service providers from the list of those accredited or temporarily authorized by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research, which will allow the expansion of the number of training institutions, as well as the geographical area in which the training courses will be held.
In 2021, 37 thousand people with unemployed status were registered at ANOFM, of which over 66% did not have a professional qualification. Only 886 people participated in training courses, which is 2.4% of the total number of registered unemployed. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
