Speaker Igor Grosu together with deputy speaker Mihail Popsoi and deputy head of the economy, budget and finance commission Radu Marian met with a group of politicians and businessmen from Great Britain. The delegation was led by Lord Daniel Hannan, member of the House of Lords, adviser to the UK Board of Trade.
According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, the talks focused on the consequences of the war in Ukraine for the Republic of Moldova, as well as the steps taken by the authorities to reduce its impact.
In this context, Grosu expressed his gratitude to the British people for the solidarity shown during the difficult period and for the support given to Moldova over the years.
The officials agreed to advance cooperation in areas such as economic, environmental and energy protection, development of renewable energy, combating propaganda and fake news, and last but not least, attracting investments to the country. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
