The Investigative Service of the Ministry of Finance has found 22 pharmacies to be selling psychoactive drugs illegally in Tbilisi and other regions of Georgia.
A large quantity of psychoactive drugs has been confiscated from the pharmacies.
Police found none of the pharmacies had proper permits to sell psychoactive drugs, although they were selling various types of medications without a doctor’s prescription.
The police officer arrested 43 individuals for the illegal entrepreneurial activities, among whom three were convicted for committing similar crimes in the past.
The offenders were set to face up to five years in prison. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
