Electric Transport company launched ten new trolleybuses on the electric transport routes in the capital.
The new AKSM trolleybuses were manufactured at Belkommunmash plant in Minsk and assembled in the RTEC repair workshop. They are equipped with air conditioning systems, indoor and outdoor surveillance cameras and USB sockets. All transport units have LED-based optical blocks, they have electrically adjustable mirrors and access ramp for people with special needs. The cost of an assembled trolleybus in Chisinau is 165 thousand lei.
Attending the event mayor Ion Ceban said that starting with May, the salary of workers in the Urban Bus Park and Electric Transport company would increase by 17%.
“It is a necessary increase given that the inflation has increased”, he said.
330 trolleybuses run daily on the existing passenger transport routes in the capital. In total, RTEC has 430 trolleybuses. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
