On April 11, Klaipeda started a new cruise season, with 80 cruise ships expected to arrive this year.
The season was opened by the Conti Group-owned Hamburg cruise ship that brought more than 300 German tourists to Klaipeda.
The 144-meter-long Hamburg, with a capacity of 420 passengers operated by German company Plantours Kreuzfahrten was docked at the Klaipeda cruise terminal on April 11 morning.
The visit lasted for only six hours, during which the tourists planned to visit Klaipeda’s Old Town, as well as Lithuania’s Palanga and Neringa.
According to the Klaipeda Tourism and Culture Information Centre, more than 80 cruise ships are expected to arrive in Klaipeda this season after only two cruise ships visited the port city last year. (LRT/Business World Magazine)
