The electronic and audio books will be exempted from the value added tax (VAT). The parliament approved a draft law to this effect on April 1.
Thus, the production of electronic and audio books, as well as the electronic and audio periodical publications, services of editing and the services concerning the copyright and other related rights will be exempted from VAT. Presently, the value added tax on this production is 20%.
The amendments made do not regard the phones, tablets, as well as the advertising and erotic production. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
