A Tajik-Uzbek investment company has been created pursuant to a decree of the Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The authorized capital will initially amount to $12 million, with a subsequent increase to $50 million.
Its establishment was provided for by the relevant intergovernmental agreement between both states. It was signed in June, within the framework of a bilateral investment forum on the eve of the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan.
The Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan will invest 75% of funds into the authorized capital, with Tajinvest’s contribution amounting to 25%. (Uzreport/Business World Magazine)
