Ukraine has already received $40 million in revenue from the tourist flow from Arab countries, according to Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko.
“Thanks to the presidential decree, citizens of six Arab countries were given the opportunity to come to Ukraine without a visa. In just six months, three times more people came here than in the entire last year. Tourists from Saudi Arabia spend about $3,000 per person per trip, which means we get an income of $40 million in six months. This is just the beginning, which shows the opportunities that exist in our country,” Tkachenko said.
He added that there were already 14 flights a week from Arab countries. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
