The average monthly wage of employees of enterprises in Uzbekistan amounted to UZS 2.9 million in January-June, up by 16% YoY.
According to data provided by the country’s statistical committee, the highest level of the average monthly wage for the specified period was observed in financial and insurance activities, the lowest in the field of health care and the provision of social services.
The highest-paid jobs were provided by the following types of economic activity: financial and insurance activities (UZS 7.1 million), information and communication (UZS 5.1 million), industry (UZS 3.7 million), transportation and storage (UZS 3.7 million), construction (UZS 3.6 million), trade (UZS 2.9 million), education (UZS 2.2 million), healthcare and social services (UZS 2 million) and other activities (UZS 3.1 million).
In terms of regions, the highest level of wages was observed in the capital city, with the lowest being registered in the Namangan region. (Uzreport/Business World Magazine)
