Verkhovna Rada Chairman Dmytro Razumkov has signed laws amending the Tax and Customs Codes to stimulate the development of the electric transport industry in Ukraine and has sent them to President Volodymyr Zelensky for signature, according to the parliament’s website.
In particular, these are the laws “On the Introduction of Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Stimulating the Development of the Electric Transport Sector in Ukraine” (No. 3476) and “On the Introduction of Amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine on Stimulating the Development of the Electric Transport Industry in Ukraine” (No. 3477).
Both laws are aimed at stimulating the development of production in Ukraine of electric vehicles, chargers and components for them, which will help create new jobs and increase the share of automotive and related industries in GDP through the inclusion in global automotive industry value chains. The documents are aimed at creating favorable conditions for attracting investment in the production of electric vehicles, chargers and components for them, as well as stimulating demand for electric-powered buses, cars and trucks.
The Verkhovna Rada passed the laws “On the Introduction of Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Stimulating the Development of the Electric Transport Sector in Ukraine” (No. 3476) and “On the Introduction of Amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine on Stimulating the Development of the Electric Transport Industry in Ukraine” (No. 3477) on July 15.
