In response to consumer complaints in social networks about frequent power outages, the Ministry of Energy “has tried to give” a detailed explanation on some of them.
The ministry said that the cases of short-term power outages were mainly associated with the gusty wind observed in a number of regions on June 1-3.
“As a result of strong gusts of wind, the facts of breakdowns of tree branches and even displacement of the roof of some buildings were recorded, which led, among other things, to damage to power transmission lines,” the press service noted.
Moreover, a sharp increase in the load on transformer substations was observed during the first days of summer, associated with hot weather. This, in turn, caused problems with the working condition of the equipment.
“To eliminate the problems that have arisen, emergency teams are operating in all regions, staffed by specialists from local energy companies, and work is underway to eliminate the problems,” the report says. (Uzreport/Business World Magazine)
