The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine is monitoring the situation with the coronavirus outbreak in the world and its impact on the global economy, but does not yet see any negative consequences for the Ukrainian economy, Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Tymofiy Mylovanov has said.
“We are closely monitoring and following the changes. We do not yet see any negative signals for the country’s economy due to the coronavirus outbreak in the world,” Mylovanov said.
He noted that Ukraine exported a significant amount of goods to China, but exports of these goods would continue despite everything.
“China can start producing less metal, and this will allow all metallurgical plants in the world to help China produce metal,” Mylovanov said, adding that Ukraine had somewhat restricted imports of consumer goods from China, but it was a good opportunity for domestic businesses to take over a niche that was taken over by China.
