Armenia’s economic activity index grew by 6.5% YoY in January-June, according to official data published by the National Statistical Committee.
In particular, the service sector grew by 15.3%, trade turnover by 8.9% and the industrial output by 6.9%.
In January-June construction volumes increased by 4.7%.
Consumer price index grew by 2% and the agricultural output by 7.4%.
Production of electricity, however, dropped by 5.5%.
The average monthly wage grew by 5.6% – totaling 179,519 drams.
A 0.1% growth was recorded in the external trade turnover volumes, with decline observed in exports but growth recorded in imports.
Exports dropped by 0.5%, while imports grew again by 0.5%. (Armenpress/Business World Magazine)
