In 2018 Ukraine’s Air Force fleet will be replenished with about 30 repaired and modernized aircraft, says Air Force Commander Colonel-General Serhiy Drozdov.
“This year we’re planning to receive from the enterprises of Ukroboronprom Concern up to 30 warplanes following their repair and modernization. It’s the MiG-29 and Su-27 fighter jets, and Su-25 attack aircraft. By the way, the Odesa plant, in cooperation with other enterprises of Ukraine’s defense industry, is now working on modernization of the Su-24MR aircraft. We realize that our technology is not new, but I am confident that due to modernization, we can use it effectively for a long time,” Drozdov said. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
