The average weekly electricity price in Latvia has declined by nearly 14%, to 42.27 EUR/MWh in Estonia and 45.72 EUR/MWh in Lithuania. The price decline in Latvia was 13%, to 45.72 EUR/MWh, according to information from Latvenergo.
A considerable consumption volume decline was noted in Nord Pool region last week. Electricity volume declined to 6,036 GWh. Production volumes in Nordic countries grew last week, reaching 6,146 GWh. Consumption volumes continued decreasing in Baltic States, dropping by 3% last week, to 473 GWh.
A decline of 4% (to 124 GWh) was observed in Latvia and 5% (132 GWh) in Estonia. No changes were observed in Lithuania, where electricity consumption volume was 217 GWh. Production volumes in the Baltics has declined by nearly 3%, reaching 282 GWh.
A decline of 28% (to 60 GWh) was noted in Latvia. A 3% drop (164 GWh) was noted in Estonia. In Lithuania an increase of 54% (57 GWh) was observed. Production volume to consumption ratio was 49% in Latvia, 124% in Estonia and 26% in Lithuania. (BNN/Business World Magazine)
