The railway line connecting Kyiv’s central train station with Boryspil Airport will have been constructed by December 1, Acting Board Chairman of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia Yevhen Kravtsov stated at a meeting with Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, the government’s press service reports.
“The object will be commissioned by December 1. The construction has been launched. We’re negotiating on a type of the station,” Kravtsov said.
In February the Cabinet of Ministers supported a project developed by Ukrzaliznytsia on the construction of a high-speed railway line to Boryspil Airport. According to the project, the line will be laid from Kyiv-Pasazhyrsky station through Vydubychi station to Terminal D of Boryspil Airport. The trip to the airport will take about 35 minutes.
Ukrzaliznytsia plans to use 11 PESA 620m trains for 91 seats and 2 PESA 630m for 192 seats. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
