Eight houses with electric heating are currently designed in Belarus, Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Kalinin declared after the opening of the Water and Heating exhibition on April 3.
“Designs are currently developed for eight houses where electric energy will be used as a source of heat. These are the first steps and I think that such use of electric energy will continue gaining momentum. This means we will balance the production and consumption of energy resources in the country. The head of state set forth the task for the maximum use of electrical energy. We are gradually moving in this direction,” said Anatoly Kalinin.
He also stressed that the use of electric power in heating was an additional way of energy efficiency and energy saving. There are also plans to develop the corresponding tariff policy. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
