This year Belarus should make a breakthrough in food supplies to China’s market, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Kirill Rudy declared.
“We have not made a false start so far. However, we are close to “getting off” in terms of food supplies to the Chinese market. The deals have been sealed. It is necessary to stick to them now. This means great responsibility,” Kirill Rudy remarked.
In late 2017 Belarus signed contracts worth $114 million to deliver dairy and meat products to China, he recalled.
“These supplies were worth $15 million in 2017 and $5 million in 2016. If we sell $114 million worth of products, this will be a breakthrough,” the ambassador noted.
In his words, famous Belarusian brands have started exporting woodworking products to China.
“This is a good example for our Bellesbumprom Concern to boost the exports to this market,” the diplomat believes.
The work is also underway to attract investors to the Belarus-China industrial park Great Stone, Kirill Rudy added. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
