The Ukroboronprom State Concern has started creating the radar and electronic warfare cluster, the press service of the concern reported.
The state-owned enterprise (SOE) Scientific and Production Complex Iskra is the leading enterprise of this cluster.
A significant growth of sales volumes in 2017 for the needs of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was seen to 2015 – 8-fold.
In 2018-2020 Iskra seeks to start introducing 3D printing to bulk production.
According to the report, the cluster will include leading enterprises of Ukroboronprom and private sector companies: SOE Research Institute Kvant-Radioelektronika, SOE Research Institute of Radar Systems, SOE Research Institute of Electronic Equipment, SOE Novator, Telecard-Device and Ukrainian Research Institute of Computer Technologies LLC.
“The combination of the scientific and production potential of the leading enterprises will enable the development of new high-tech samples of military equipment,” the press service said. (Interfax-Ukraine/Business World Magazine)
