Ukraine in January-November supplied 8,174 tons of cheese to foreign markets, up by 12.6% YoY.
According to customs statistics, released by the State Fiscal Service, in monetary terms shipments of these products increased by 34.8%, to $29.14 million.
Cheese imports in January-November amounted to 8,785 tons, increasing by 43% YoY. The country imported products worth $40.88 million (in January-November 2016 some $25.83 million).
Exports of butter from Ukraine in January-November increased 2.5-fold, to 27,299 tons. In monetary terms, the figure amounted to $115.11 million against $33.46 million in January-November 2016. Imports of this product fell by 41.2% January-November, from 1,030 tons ($3.53 million) to 621 tons ($3.63 million).
Exports of milk and cream (condensed) in January-November decreased by 10.6%, to 44,455 tons. Ukraine supplied condensed milk and cream for a total of $76.23 million, which is 8.4% more than in January-November of 2016. (Interfax-Ukraine/Business World Magazine)
