According to the official statistics figures, in July-August of the season-2017-2018 Ukraine imported 4.2 thousand tons of rye flour, down 2.1-fold YoY (8.8 thousand tons).
At the same time, Belarus supplied almost all volumes of the reporting product on the Ukrainian market. As a reminder, in 2016-2017 MY Ukraine purchased 36.8 thousand tons of rye flour, including 99% of the product of Belarusian origin.
At the same time, in July-August the imports of rye to Ukraine increased to 662 tons, against 179 tons in the first 2 months of 2016-2017 MY. In the reporting period, Germany was the single supplier of rye to Ukraine, while last season the EU and Belarus mainly supplied the grain. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
