Belarusian agrarians have already cropped over 2 million tons of grain, the Agriculture and Food Ministry reported.
As of August 6, Belarus’ grain harvest exceeded 2.1 million tons. Brest region harvested 684,700 tons, Gomel region – 480,800 tons. Minsk region and Mogilev region cropped 427,400 and 185,900 tons each. The harvest of Grodno region reached 356,300 tons, Vitebsk region – 54,100 tons. A total of 622.700 hectares, or 27.6%, of areas under crops have been harvested in the country. As of today, Brest region remains the leader: the region has cropped 55.4% of the total area. This year, the average yield makes up 35.2 hundredweights per hectare. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
