Transit of Russian natural gas through Ukraine’s gas transportation system (GTS) has fallen by 24.7% since July 11, according to live data from Ukrtransgaz.
If on July 1-10 the average daily transit through the Ukrainian GTS amounted to 256.7 million cubic meters, on July 11 a drop to 193.4 million cubic meters was witnessed.
At the same time, compared with July 5-7, when transit was the highest since winter and amounted to 270.7-270.9 million cubic meters per day, on July 11 there was a decrease of 28.6%.
The last time gas transit through the territory of Ukraine was below 200 million cubic meters per day was recorded in September 2016.
The decline in transit was recorded at the Uzhgorod gas measuring station (the Slovak corridor). So, if the average daily value for the first ten days of July in this direction was 160.6 million cubic meters, on July 11 89.8 million cubic meters (a drop of 44.1%) were transported.
