In May Ukraine is expected to export 583 million kilowatt-hour of electricity to Moldova and Eastern European countries, according to the forecast balance of Ukraine’s integrated energy system for May.
All types of electricity-generating facilities in Ukraine’s integrated energy system will produce 11.608 billion kilowatt-hour of electricity. Meanwhile, Energoatom National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine is likely to generate 6.7 billion kilowatt-hour of electricity, or 57.7% of the total volume.
Gross electricity consumption is expected to be about 10.8 billion kilowatt-hour, which is 1.2% higher compared to May 2016.
A total of 583 million kilowatt-hour of electricity will be exported. In particular, 272 million kilowatt-hour will be sent to Moldova, 311 million kilowatt-hour – to Eastern European countries, including Poland. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
