Latvian State Revenue Service has registered in its unified database multiple new cash register models, opening the way for users to replace their existing cash registers with new models that comply with updated requirements.
Compliance certificate has been issued to CHD 3050, CHD 3050 U, CHD 2050 and CHD 7 cash register models. These models are mostly intended for small and medium-sized trade and catering businesses. Cash registers are also appropriate for market and large trade locations.
These cash registers are not fitted with fiscal memory module and cannot be connected to a computer. This means the possibility of erasing registered transactions is completely excluded.
“We are satisfied with CHD company’s supplied cash registers. This is a major step forward in the fight with grey economy in Latvia,” says SRS tax control office’s acting director Inese Bindemane.
SRS emphasizes that there are currently 49,256 cash registers used by taxpayers in Latvia. 19,512 of them are used by In-depth Cooperation Program participants and public transport industry’s representatives. New cash register models will replace more than half of the currently registered cash registers, including 13,395 units that are not possible to adapt to new technical requirements.
