According to preliminary information, Ukraine exported 840 KMT of wheat in February that is basically comparable with its exports in the same month last year (855 KMT).
In total, the country supplied 13.56 MMT of wheat to foreign markets in the first eight months of the current season, or 14.5% more than at the same time a year ago.
India remained the key destination for Ukrainian wheat exports in February. The country has imported roughly 2.9 MMT of wheat from Ukraine this season, i.e. absorbed one-fifth (21%) of Ukrainian export wheat and sidelined other importers.
In addition, shipments to the markets of Morocco and Algeria are still on the rise. In the period under review, Ukrainian exporters supplied 20% more to Morocco than for the entire last season, and or 52% to Algeria more than in 2015/16. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
