Loans to farmers in Kyrgyzstan in 2017 will amount to 7 billion soms, the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Land Reclamation Nurbek Murashev said.
According to him, the processors will have the minimum interest rate. They will be issued loans at 6% per annum.
“Loans for the development of animal husbandry and agriculture will be issued at 10%,” the minister said.
He noted that 60% of the total loan portfolio of farmers would be directed to livestock, 20% – to the development of the processing industry and agriculture.
Commenting on the results, the minister noted that in 2016 loans worth 4.8 billion soms were issued. 13,200 farmers received the money. In addition, 250 units of agricultural machinery have been leased.
“In 2017, we plan to give 260 units in lease,” Nurbek Murashev said. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
