As of December 1, the registered carry-over stocks of grains and pulses in Kazakhstan totaled 16.637 million tons (down by 2.2 million tons YoY), the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
In particular, peasant and farming households stored 3.94 million tons of grains.
Wheat formed the major share of the general grain stocks – 13.373 million tons, including 11.145 million tons of milling wheat, 898.8 thousand tons of feed wheat, and 1.329 million tons of wheat for seeds.
Corn stocks totaled 191.207 thousand tons, rice – 321.937 thousand tons, barley – 2 million tons, rye – 1.062 thousand tons, oats – 249.9 thousand tons, buckwheat – 63.355 thousand tons, millet – 43.238 thousand tons, and mixture of spiked grain crops – 162.698 thousand tons.
