The leader in the sphere of trading in agricultural products and sunflower oil production in the Republic of Moldova – the company Trans-Oil Group – invested $6 million in increasing capacities of the grain terminal in the Giurgiulesti International Free Port, the press-service of the company declared.
According to the announcement, the funds from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development formed 75% of investment in the project.
The general capacities of a new grain terminal of Trans-Oil Group total 70 thousand tons of grains. The reporting modernization increased the annual shipment capacities from 300 thousand tons to 800 thousand tons, or nearly 75% of the annual export volumes of grains from Moldova.
The company built an additional berth for access to the river, a granary with capacity of 12 thousand tons, a pier, and installed high-performance loading equipment. Thus, the export potential of Trans-Oil Group more than doubled – from 450 thousand tons to 1 million tons. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
