Belarus’ beef export grew by 14.4% YoY in January-September to 118,474 tons, Belarus’ National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a report.
In value terms, Belarus’ beef exports reduced by 1.7% to $343.198 million. Russia was the major destination of Belarus’ beef exports – 116,815 tons (up by 16.8% YoY) valued at $339.525 million (up by 0.2%).
Belarus imported 11,469 tons of beef (up 11 times YoY) worth $27.012 million (up 8.1 times); including beef imports from Russia – 191 tons (up 2.26 times) worth $1.094 million (up 2.3 times).
Belarus’ pork export in January-September totaled 3,996 tons (up 5.7 times YoY) worth $7.653 million (up 4.6 times). Russia accounted for almost all pork exports from Belarus – 3,994 tons (up 5.7 times) worth $7.648 million (up 4.6 times). Belarus’ pork imports grew by 37.5% to 3,472 tons. In value terms, pork imports to Belarus reduced by 15% to $7.164 million. Pork imports from Russia grew 10 times to 3,360 tons worth $6.922 million (up 6.1 times).
Belarus’ exports of sausages grew 17.2% YoY to $55.865 million. In natural terms, export of sausages grew by 37% to 26,280 tons. Exports of Belarusian sausages to Russia grew by 34.9% to 24,150 tons worth $50.93 million (up by 18%). (Prime-TASS/Business World Magazine)
