There is a plan to build a new berth on the Adzhalyk estuary near the port of Yuzhny. The berth would service a Delta Wilmar plant owned by Singapore’s Wilmar International and Delta Exports.
The Singaporean investor intends to expand the production facilities. To operate effectively, an own berth is needed. Under the best scenario, its construction will start in a year and the plant will begin running to its full capacity together with the terminal tentatively in 2019. The investment amount is estimated at $150 million.
In the near future the investor must work out a design and get the land allocated. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
