The Belarusian mechanical engineering company Amkodor is ready to design prototype machines for the oil extraction industry of Russia’s Tatarstan, the company’s website reported.
Representatives of the large Russian oil company Tatneft led by Director General Nail Maganov arrived in Belarus in line with the agreement made by the Belarus president and the Tatarstan president. Top executives of the Russian company were made familiar with Amkodor’s product choice and expressed readiness for cooperation in a number of avenues. Tatneft is in serious need of utility machines to service the wells that have been drilled already. Amkodor specialists are ready to work out design documentation and process flow documentation and design prototype machines for Tatarstan’s oil extraction industry on the basis of loaders and utility vehicles used in woodworking operations. A new lineup of machines will be produced. Later on they may be sold in CIS and non-CIS states.
Tatneft Company also takes care of a large number of social facilities. Representatives of the company said they were ready to buy Amkodor vehicles for cleaning the streets in Kazan and the territory around the city. Apart from that, the sides discussed the possibility of buying Amkodor machines on a systemic basis to satisfy needs of Tatarstan’s economy.
During the meeting other promising avenues of partnership-based integration were explored. Tatneft’s top managers confirmed strong interest in innovative forms of doing business together. The Russian company is ready to take an active part in financing Amkodor’s R&D with a view of introducing robot technologies as part of the manufacturing process flow. The possibility of building a factory in Tatarstan to make Amkodor’s utility vehicles was discussed. In the near future representatives of Amkodor and Tatneft are expected to set up working groups to flesh out the plans. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
