Kyivstar mobile communications operators saw 11.079 billion UAH of total revenue in January-September, while a year ago the indicator was 10.003 billion UAH.
The operator said in a press release that earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) over the period grew by 30%, to 6.019 billion UAH compared to 4.625 billion UAH a year ago. EBITDA margin rose by 8.1%, to 54.3% compared to 46.2% a year ago.
Capital investment over the period under review fell by 32%, to 1.837 billion UAH, and in Q3 the figure grew by 11% YoY, to 860 million UAH.
In July-September total revenue rose by 9%, to 3.922 billion UAH thanks to development of 3G network and growth in consumption of voice and Internet services.
“Ukrainians started talking more and using 3G services more – minutes of use (MoU) grew to 544 minutes in Q3 and 3G traffic in our network – to 9,111 terabytes”m Kyivstar President Petro Chernyshev said.
Average revenue per user (ARPU) in Q3 grew by 10%, to 16 UAH, and the number of subscribers was up by 2%, to 26.3 million. The number of mobile Internet users fell by 9%, to 10.6 million.
The company said that in Q3 it expanded the 3G coverage zone. Now, 52% of residents can have access to the 3G network.
Fix communications revenue grew by 10% over the period, to 261 million UAH.
EBITDA in Q3 increased by 18%, to 2.2 billion UAH. EBITDA margin grew by 4.3%, to 55.3%. (Interfax/Business World Magazine)
