As of November 4, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 55.903 million tons of grains throughout the areas of 12.845 million ha, or 90% of the plan. The average yield totaled 4.35 ton/ha, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported. At the same time, on the same date last year the production volumes reached 56.16 million tons.
In particular, agrarians continued harvesting corn. As of the reporting date, Ukraine harvested 16.866 million tons of the grain throughout 2.827 million ha (67%). The average yield reached 5.97 ton/ha.
Also, Ukraine harvested 189 thousand tons of buckwheat throughout 148 thousand ha (99%). The average yield totaled 1.27 ton/ha. Agrarians harvested millet throughout 103 thousand ha (98%). The production volumes totaled 187 thousand tons, with the yield of 1.82 ton/ha.
Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine harvested 12.567 million tons of sunflower seed throughout 5.656 million ha (96%), with the average yield of 2.22 ton/ha.
Ukraine continued harvesting soybeans. Agrarians harvested 3.688 million tons of the oilseed throughout the areas of 1.649 million ha (90%), with the average yield of 2.24 ton/ha.
Ukraine continued realizing the planting campaign of winter grains. As of November 4, agrarians planted winter grains throughout 6.757 million ha (92% of the plan), up 340 thousand ha compared with the same date last year.
In particular, Ukraine planted winter wheat and triticale throughout 5.775 million ha (93%), winter rye – 155 thousand ha (106%), and winter barley – 827 thousand ha (80%). Also, Ukraine planted winter rapeseed throughout 803 thousand ha (111%). (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
