In the current season, the prices for rye in Ukraine are comparable to the prices for feed wheat, which will possibly lead to increasing the planted areas of rye, the Commercial Director of Rivne-Boroshno PJSC Roman Tsaruk declared.
According to Tsaruk, the composition of Ukrainian soils will contribute to increasing of rye planted areas, because most soils of the fields are sandy and acidic, therefore agrarians will fail to produce good wheat harvest.
In terms of such purchasing prices for rye, many agrarians will start growing the grain. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
