ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has paid over 72 million UAH of losses caused to the state in violation of environment protection legislation as it has been prescribed by court.
The company executed the ruling of Dniepropetrovsk commercial court of appeals ordering to pay 72.699 million UAH as a collection of damage caused to the state in violation of environment protection legislation.
“The ruling of the appeal court came into effect, and ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih voluntarily paid the sum, not waiting for the enforcement procedure”, the company said.
Some 21.81 million UAH or 30% of the sum will be sent to the special fund of Ukraine’s national budget, 14.54 million UAH or 20% of the sum will be sent to the special fund of the regional budget of Dniepropetrovsk regional council and 36.35 million UAH or 50% of the sum will be channeled to the special fund of the local budget of Kryvyi Rih city council.
The funds were sent to an account opened in the main department of the State Treasury of Ukraine in Dniepropetrovsk region.
