According to Ukrainian ministry of agrarian policy a lot of work is being done on strengthening of trade relationships with China.
Currently it is planned to enlarge the list of agro commodities exported to China and to open Chinese market for Ukrainian berries and sunflower meal.
It should be noted, that trade volumes in oilseed segment are constantly growing. Thus, compared to the previous season in 2015/2016 MY sunflower meal exports increased to 619.9 KMT, up by 39% YoY, soybean oil – to 82.3 KMT – up almost 1.5 times, soybean exports – to 4.6 KMT against minor volumes of 2014/2015 (0.05 KMT). Moreover, for the second season in a row China bought over 40 KMT of rapeseed oil. So, next commodity to be exported to this market is sunflower meal. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
