As of October 11, Ukrainian agrarians harvested 46.668 million tons of grains throughout the areas of 11.403 million ha, or 80% of the plan. The average yield totaled 4.09 ton/ha, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported. At the same time, on the same date last year production volumes reached 47.2 million tons.
In particular, agrarians continued harvesting corn. As of the reporting date, Ukraine harvested 7.806 million tons of the grain throughout 1.419 million ha (33%). The average yield reached 5.5 ton/ha.
Also, Ukraine harvested 182 thousand tons of buckwheat throughout 142 thousand ha (95%). The average yield totaled 1.27 ton/ha. Agrarians harvested millet throughout 101 thousand ha (97%). The production volumes totaled 183 thousand tons, with the yield of 1.82 ton/ha.
Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine harvested 9.871 million tons of sunflower seed throughout 4.514 million ha (76%), with the average yield of 2.19 ton/ha.
Ukraine continued harvesting soybeans. Agrarians harvested 2.691 million tons of the oilseed throughout the areas of 1.245 million ha (68%), with the average yield of 2.16 ton/ha.
Ukraine continued realizing the planting campaign of winter grains. As of October 11, agrarians planted winter grains throughout 4.886 million ha (66% of the plan), down by 383 thousand ha YoY.
In particular, Ukraine planted winter wheat and triticale throughout 4.452 million ha (72%), winter rye – 135 thousand ha (92%), and winter barley – 299 thousand ha (29%). Also, Ukraine planted winter rapeseed throughout 758 thousand ha (105%), up by 151 thousand ha YoY. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
